 The unwritten episodes.  Work stops for all kinds of reasons. Time can be a factor. Sometimes, you fish a wip out and it doesn't fly with your readers. This one was too gritty and too unshoppable to fly. It's also always a bit impertenant for men to write about women. Jane Austen was famous for not writing scenes with only male characters. Grad school and Ukraine, vampires and hookers, Eastern Orthodoxy, are an odd cocktail. Some things are more niche than Lovecraft.
