More Trench Platypus!

It's World War I with overt supernatural forces: what's not to like? There's the second mini for my New Antioch platoon in this photo dump as well. You'll also see before and after AI sketches. Bit of a grab bag!

Trench Platypus

Tank is underway for Trench Crusade! Then we have Trench Nurses, some Plague Knights, and a Scripture Guardian.

Trench Platypus

I have my first order for Trench Crusade in the mail. I wanted to experiment with Puritans though. Starryai is helping me out. These are my ideas for The Dominion of New England. I won't be building them any time soon, but I'd love to inject the idea into the bloodstream. I'll post images of my Procession of the Holy Grail when I've got them worked out.

Creative Platypus

Me versus the AI. Still can't get this short story collection on the page: The Dark Lady. I can't figure out why.

Platypus Sketches: Creative Platypus

Something that reminds me of LotR and something that reminds me of Exalted. Both drawn with a few changes from references. This is an AI reworking of a film still placing it in a different setting and the style of Blue Eyed Samurai (which I've only seen clips of). I spend a lot of my time doing AI art on Starryai these days. The daily challenges and discord channel are particularly motivating. I don't write anymore since my last novel failed to pass muster in terms of salability. With US readership down 40 percent over the past couple decades, I don't see a viable way forward for my authorial voice.

October Link

  Zelda from several different references.

Dark World: Zelda Platypus

October is Zelda season. Even if I'm not playing, it's Zelda season.

Fallen Gods: Creative Platypus

AI versus Drawn: Creative Platypus

AI and drawing from the AI. Working in reverse this time.

Doodles: Creative Platypus

Heiratic versus dynamic here. Both are drawn in ballpoint pen and colored in with marker. The first is more original, drawing from a number of references and modifying them all to some degree. I just added some razzle dazzle to the second one. Looks like Deedlit's sis or something. Pen forces you to cover your mistakes and make as few as possible to begin with. It took several years to prefer pen to pencil, but I do now. I need to go figure out why.

Alligator Platypus

Finally saw one in the wild. 3 footer being chased by a 8 footer. Not sure i want to see the 14 footer this close.

Spirited Away: Film Platypus

Putting famous malefactors into the Bathhouse of Spirited Away.

Sketches Platypus

I just finished a back-to-back of Tolkien's Battle of Maldon and Beowulf. After realizing I could plot the entirety of Sellic Spell as a D&D one shot and buy all the props in five minutes on Amazon, Etsy, or Ebay, I thought of Frank Frazetta. Frazzeta has a few pictures, especially Night Stalker, that are particularly Beowulf-ish. Frazzeta's Italian relish for voluptuous bodies of both genders is mostly at odds with Beowulf's Northern sensibility, but the two illustrations I've attempted to reproduce here (and bowdlerized a bit) do the trick.

The Quest For the Holy Grail: Creative Platypus

We've been reading The Quest for the Holy Grail and I can't help thinking this would make a great Game. Pictures below.
